In late 2022, I had a problem with alcohol
…a big problem.
In early 2023, I quit drinking and started to get my shit together and sorting my mental health was a massive part of that journey. It was rough…prob the shittiest year in recent memory, but I found comfort and motivation in attending small car meet-ups and making a habit of it.
In their own way, these types of meets helped me stay positive and keep going without the grog. ’Can’t go to that meet-up if you’re hung over’ was a motivating thought that popped up more than once.
I meet some awesome people at these meets and it wasn’t long before I took an interest in exploring ways to promote and get the word out to help grass-roots, community focused, meet-ups.
Most of these types of meets happened on Sunday mornings, like church…but with cars.
When I was coming up with ideas to make this thing stick, I had this on repeat 👉 Adam Brand & Matt Cornell - Our Church.
It resonated with me, it stuck.

Digging deeper, I found out that it also resonated with lots of people for other reasons.

The name choice is coming from a place of love and respect.

One year sober marked the launch of the website!
That's the TL;DR story of how Car Church Industries was launched in 2024.
The main goal is to help clubs / meet-ups, no matter their size, get quality merch out to their members/congregation at affordable prices with easy shipping straight to their doorsteps.
I also have plans to partner with local charities to raise some coin for good causes like WOLCOMS, Smith Family and local Men’s Mental Health resources.
